Financial assistance to coir production units at 25% of cost of equipment’s subject to maximum of Rs.6 lakhs for setting up of defibering unit, Rs.4 lakhs for automatic spinning unit and Rs.5 lakhs for others including coir pith.
For composite or multiple unit maximum ceiling of financial assistance is Rs.9 lakhs. Scheme also provides for extending financial assistance up to Rs.2 lakhs for modernisation/renovation of existing units.
