NATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY COUNCIL
The National Productivity Council (NPC), an autonomous organization under the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has been at the forefront of driving productivity, quality, and competitiveness across Indian industries since 1958. NPC is a constituent of the Tokyo-based Asian Productivity Organisation (APO), with India as a founding member, and has played a pivotal role in implementing productivity improvement initiatives nationwide.
As a proactive step towards strengthening the MSME ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh, the Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation (AP MSME DC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NPC on 27th June 2025. This strategic partnership aims to promote and facilitate the MSME Competitive Lean Scheme (MCLS), empowering MSMEs in Andhra Pradesh to adopt world-class Lean manufacturing practices, reduce waste, and boost profitability.
