Considering his vast experience in the field of general engineering works, Shaik Mahaboob Basha, S/o Shaik Khadar Basha, wanted to establish his own small enterprise in the same field. In view of the great demand for steel wire net mesh in the market, Mahaboob Basha decided to launch a manufacturing unit on the plot allotted to him by APIIC, at Auto Nagar in Palamaneru. Canara Bank came forward to extend financial assistance under the PMEGP Scheme. His steel wire net mesh manufacturing unit was launched in May 2016. It was named M/s Bharath Mesh Industries.

From homemaker to successful entrepreneur, Sridevi Ghanta traversed a long way. She founded M/s Sai Krishna Paper Products, which became a great success and emerged as a beacon of female empowerment and entrepreneurial brilliance. Sridevi stopped her studies at high school and dedicated the ensuing years to her family. Her entrepreneurial saga began in 2018 when she launched the company with the support of her spouse, Kishore Babu. The company specialized in manufacturing paper cones, a critical supplementary packing material for spinning industries.

Facing financial hurdles, his plans for KRUCS (KR Unit of Cleaning Services) were delayed until 2022.

With support from family and friends, he reinvested KR Polymers' profits to launch KRUCS, focusing on manufacturing high-quality washing liquids supplied to private agencies. Over seven years, he transitioned from worker to supervisor to enterprise proprietor. Presently, his business achieves a turnover of Rs. 3 Cr. per year, aiming to reach Rs. 10 Cr. soon. His managerial and entrepreneurial skills serve as inspiration to younger generations.

Padala Chandrahasi Santhoshimata established her paper plate manufacturing unit in June 2021. With support from the Industries Department, she was able to secure a loan of Rs. 19 lakh from Canara Bank, Nadakuduru branch, under the PMEGP scheme. Thanks to the support of the department, she was also able to avail an investment subsidy of Rs. 7 lakh.
Having launched her unit during COVID times, Santhoshimata faced problems in marketing her product initially. However, things began looking up within three months. She has already repaid the loan. The unit’s installed capacity is 3.00 lakh paper plates per annum. The entrepreneur has contributed around Rs. 50,000 as GST within the first two years of the launch.
A first-generation entrepreneur, Santhoshimata expressed her thanks to the Industries Department for the guidance and departmental approvals, which helped her a great deal.

Food testing is an essential activity as it meets a range of requirements like quality, adulteration, nutrients, etc. Realizing the importance of food testing, Vinay Kumar launched RV Labs, which specializes in food and agriculture products testing and research. This is the only NABL-approved laboratory in Andhra Pradesh. The unit was established in 2009 with an investment of Rs. 10 lakhs and was subsequently expanded twice, in 2013 and 2018, by investing Rs. 15 lakhs and Rs. 58 lakhs respectively. It obtained an AGMARK certificate in 2011 for agricultural products, spices, and oils. Presently, RV Labs has more than 250 registered customers across South India. The company's turnover has been steadily increasing, and it has generated significant employment opportunities in the region.

As a homemaker, V. V. M. Rohini dreamt of entrepreneurial success and empowering other women. With guidance from the District Industry Centre (DIC) office under the PMEGP scheme, she established M/s Mahathi Hygiene Products. Financial backing from the SBI helped her launch the unit.

Remarkably, the turnover of the unit saw significant growth, rising from Rs 5 lakhs in 2022-23 to an impressive Rs 9 lakhs in 2023-24. With the support of the PD DRDA in Anakapalli, the market for her products has expanded. Her customers include self-help groups, state-wide Mahila Marts, local shops and malls, and railway stations. She aims to further expand the market for her products to other states as well. Mrs. Rohini is now providing employment to 15 persons.

Hailing from the ST community, Rudavath Shiva Kumar Naik, aged 37 years, is a graduate from Vijayawada and a first-generation entrepreneur. He brings extensive industry experience, having worked for over 10 years in production and marketing within the same sector. Recognizing an opportunity, he established a Non-Stick Cookware Manufacturing unit at Model Industrial Park, Mallavilli.
As the founder of M/s. Aaradhya Industries, a sole proprietorship firm, Naik personally oversees the overall management and administration. His initiative not only contributes to the local economy by generating employment but also demonstrates impressive growth with a substantial turnover increase. His dedication and industry experience drive the rapid expansion and success of his enterprise.

After completing his post-graduation in Chemistry, Dr. K. Venkataramana served a private organization for 12 years before launching his own manufacturing unit in Madanapalle in 2004. Initially, he was manufacturing a single product, Silk Saree Finishing Adhesive, from a rented premise, providing employment to four persons. Year on year, the range of products increased, and he established subsidiary firms as well. His aim was to provide customers with a range of products with impeccable quality, price, supply, and service. Now, Dr. Venkataramana’s industrial units cater to customers in five states. He has established himself as an industrialist, and his Sree Bhalaji Industries Private Limited was incorporated in 2021. Now, all these industrial units manufacture more than 100 products such as adhesives, transformer winding insulation gums, paint binders, thickeners, construction chemicals, architectural paints, etc. The units enjoy GMP certification and ISO 14001:2015.

Reddy Sarveswara Rao hails from a family of agriculturists. After completing his Commerce graduation in 1991, he worked in manufacturing, transport, and chit funds sectors. Between 2007-2014, he was a partner in a corrugated boxes manufacturing industry. Despite working for various enterprises thereafter, he aspired to be an entrepreneur.

In 2019, he established M/s Golden Packages with an investment of Rs. 21 lakhs for machinery and Rs. 5 lakhs for working capital. Union Bank of India provided financial assistance of Rs. 12.6 lakhs for fixed capital investment. Starting with just one client, Golden Packages has grown into a successful business manufacturing corrugated boxes for ice cream manufacturers, expanding its client base from one to eight.

The enterprise applied for an investment subsidy and was sanctioned Rs. 2.9 Lakhs under the IDP 2015-20 Policy. Over the years, Golden Packages has carved a niche in the market, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.

Mohammed Zareena from Islampet locality of Bapatla town is a traditional home maker. “I used to assist my husband who runs a small cool drink shop at Bapatla Town. During my casual talk with my husband one day, the idea struck me to manufacture soft drinks, soda and jeera water of our own brand. We approached the Canara Bank, Bapatla for financial assistance under the PMEGP Scheme. The Banker agreed to provide the assistance and asked us to contact DIC Officials, Bapatla. An old house was taken on lease at Islampet and remodeled as per the specifications of the machinery supplier. With the financial assistance coming from the banker, the machinery was installed. The total project cost came up to Rs 25 Lakhs,” says Zareena while recalling her entrepreneurial journey.  The unit named M/s SJ Beverages manufactures Jeera water and Soda Water with a brand name of ‘Star’.  The unit with FSSAI license has reached a fantastic turnover. Star beverages were put on display on the Independence Day table in the year 2023.

After completing her BA, B.Ed, Gyalam Ratnakumari wanted to empower women by providing employment and contributing to the community. She approached the District Industries Centre, East Godavari, and received handholding support for obtaining permissions from concerned departments under a Single Desk Portal. With the DIC's support, her proposal for manufacturing PVC pipes through recycling plastic waste was quickly approved. Under the PMEGP, she received incentives of Rs. 25 lakhs, with additional financial assistance from the Bank of Baroda, Rajahmundry. Her own contribution to the project cost was Rs. 1.25 lakhs (5 percent of the project cost).

She launched her firm, M/s RK PVC Pipes in 2021. Since then, she has firmly established the business by adhering to quality norms and earning customer trust. Today, her turnover has grown significantly, and she provides employment to many women.

Pangi Bhavani, a tribal woman, hails from Konthali Village, Hukumpet Mandal, Alluri Seetharamaraju District. She always wanted to lend a helping hand to her husband, a carpenter by profession. The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) came handy in fulfilling her dream to become her husband’s business partner. Bhavani wanted to establish a carpentry design unit for which sought a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh from Bank of Baroda, Hukumpet. Seeing the viability of her proposal the bank sanctioned the loan, on which she got a subsidy of Rs 1.75 lakhs under PMEGP. She acquired the latest wood designing machinery with the loan amount, which further bolstered her business. The new machinery enabled her to complete the work within time and increased her turnover drastically. Bhavani earned a good reputation as a credit worthy entrepreneur because of her prompt repayment record.

N. Venkata Rao launched M/s Venkata Durga Ramaraju Modern Rice & Flour Mill with an initial personal investment of Rs. 20 lakh in the year 2002. In 2005, he decided to expand the business and invested an additional Rs. 40 lakhs to improve productivity. This second investment boosted production capacity to meet customer needs. He adopted a farmer-friendly approach by purchasing raw materials directly from local farmers, eliminating middlemen. This ensured that farmers received fair prices for their produce, significantly increasing their profits and contributing to the region's economic development.

The rice mill expanded its market reach, selling rice to neighboring districts. The increased production capacity and market expansion have led to a substantial rise in the company's turnover. A first-generation entrepreneur, P. Kowsar Jabeen, is the proprietor of M/s Swift Abrasives. With the objective of contributing to society, she launched her unit in 2018. India holds a market share of over 10% and is the top exporter of sandstones. In these polishing units, abrasive materials are used for polishing with water and oil as coolants.
